Have you ever wondered what it takes to join a nonprofit Board of Directors? Maybe you’ve considered board service but just didn’t know where to start. United Way’s Board Leadership Training has the answers and support you are looking for. Our introduction to board leadership breaks it down into understandable pieces, gives you the opportunity to test your skills and brings in local experts to take the mystery out of becoming a board member. And once you’ve finished the course, we won’t leave you out there on your own! You can join our Facebook group and make more connections and ask questions.

HOW TO REGISTER

Board Leadership (9 hours) - Cost: $75
Check back in mid-May to register for the next session on July 17 and 24.

You must attend both days to complete the course. Please do not register if you cannot commit to both sessions.

When registration is open for the next class you will see a live link to the online registration form. We will fill the class in the order that registration requests are received. Registration for the course generally opens the month before.

Your registration is not complete until you receive a confirmation email and complete the additional registration steps, which include payment options. You must provide the requested information within 48 hours of the send time on the email or risk losing your seat in the class.

Scholarships

We never want cost to be a barrier for anyone interested in learning about board service. A limited number of full or partial scholarship are available for each session. When registration is live, fill out the online registration form using the link above and choose that your preferred payment is scholarship.
