During their four-year appointment to the governance body of the United Way of Douglas County, board members attend monthly board meetings and committee activities, and participate in the annual campaign and program accountability process.

We are Proud to announce this year’s United Way of Douglas County Campaign Co-Chairs are

Mr. & Mrs. Winter, Jr.

“If you care about people, you have to engage. The way to engage in this community is United Way.”

"United Way fights for health, education and financial stability for every person in Douglas County.  As this year’s Campaign Co-Chairs, Mary and I believe in the work that the United Way does; work like no other nonprofit agency.  UW works year round supporting and encouraging the collaborative efforts of its community partners under the focus of the three goals: health, education and financial stability.

As we face more competition for reduced state and federal funding, it becomes clearer to citizens —in communities around the globe and here at home — that the great work and generosity of our private workplaces, individual donors and volunteers is critical to meet the needs of our families, friends and neighbors.

This campaign is a great opportunity for our community to become excited and involved through sharing our time by volunteering and increasing our generosity by giving.  With this synergy we become “community-centered.”  JOIN us in the good fight as we focus our resources on what matters most to the residents of Douglas County; our community impact goals:  health, education and financial stability for every person in Douglas County.

We are so proud that our contributions to UW Douglas County stay here in Douglas County for its residents' improved quality of life." -Wint Winter, Campaign Co-Chair
